Rotech Underwater Power Pack (UPP)
The Rotech Underwater Power Pack (UPP) replaces the usual topside diesel-powered hydraulic pump with an electrically driven hydraulic pump sited with the tool, to permit operation in much deeper water than is possible with the standard arrangement.
The system is designed to operate to a depth of around 3,000m, depending on the handling system and umbilical.
